HOW THE GARCIA GIRLS LOST THEIR ACCENTS ( 4-9 )

SUMMARY:
In the begginning theres a girl named Yolanda. Yolanda was in the five big states for five years and her family felt like that was a long time . She is from the Dominican Republic though . First the author describes the setting of the house that yolanda is going to back in her native land . Since she was away for so long , her family decided to prepare a surprise for her . Then it describes what the family is doing before Yolanda arrives . They sang her a song and greeted her with both words of encouragement and honesty . One thing that her family gets upsett about is the fact that she doesnt automatically speak in spanish when talking to her family . They think that she has been there too long , and will begin to mix up words and phrases like her mother .

REACTION:
When i read this i was confused . I couldnt tell if her family missed her or if they just wanted to see if she completely changed . So when her aunt said that , she mean it because she knew she could look better like she use to .
